(8/29) ••• For this week’s #SuperFriendsSunday post, @snap.crackle.pop.vinyl asked us for our favorite album from the Early 80s! And since his birthday was just yesterday, I have to pay homage to the KING OF POP! Birthday or not, it’s hard to think of the 80s and not think of Michael Jackson. Released in 1982, not only was this album a huge hit when it premiered, but it remains the best selling album of ALL TIME with an estimated 66 million copies sold over the last 38 years. It’s iconic, it’s fun, it’s poppy and funky and even features Sir @paulmccartney for a fun duet in The Girl Is Mine. Michael set out to create an album where every song was killer, and after all the times I’ve spun this one, I can agree—every song is killer. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ • So happy belated to the late @michaeljackson πŸ’”πŸ–€ and a big virtual high five to all of the Super Friends who’ve shared their early 80s picks for the week! Go check out their posts as well πŸ™ŒπŸΌ ••• This Week’s Featured Super Friends include: @snap.crackle.pop.vinyl @recordsinmybasement @whisky_tattoos_vinyl @garys_records @analogville @shaylynn1970 @phonymusicmania @honorablementionz @radiohitch @karenvinylgirl @thehansongoons @rexleetham @oleskycraig @trazom_reloaded @gwesterbeck @vinylsteria @faracaster @jldrueke @vicky_demigoddess @dasshogg @punkrockdoc801 @b_smith429
